Iris is the first daily freight shipping service between Jersey and Guernsey. We sail every day of the year, except for Christmas Day, delivering a wide range of commercial and personal items between the islands.

OUR CAPTAIN
Captain Dave Nuth has been working on boats for 30 years.
Theseus II was Dave’s previous boat, from which he ran a highly successful charter fishing business Tarka Sea Trips.
Dave identified a space in the market in that the Channel Islands lacked a reliable fast inter-island freight service. In 2015 he purchased Channel Chieftain V and began running a daily service between Jersey and Guernsey.

Your service has been exemplary following the withdrawal of the previous poor air service. I trust that we can continue to rely on your superb service by the M.V. Channel Chieftain & it’s crew in supplying newspapers well into the future.
Funnily enough several of us were discussing only today how brilliant the Skipper, crew and boat, the Chieftain has been since they started operating the delivery of our national papers in all weather conditions and then came home and found an item on the Letters page of the Press, saying exactly that.
We are all full of admiration – and in some of the wild weather we have had the vast majority of us wouldn’t put to sea in an ocean liner if we could help it, never mind your small craft!
